In 2008 on Sunday, 29 June at 11 am, give or take a few minutes, Sally Ann Holmes set off on a 4,000 mile charity motorcycle journey around the coast of Britain to raise funds for Hurstwood Park Neurological Centre, Haywards Heath.

She was accompanied by one other rider (hence the words on the hi-viz jacket: Sal and Pal) but a good crowd of motorcyclists and other friends and well-wishers turned up to see her off.

Madeira Drive is a very popular location for all sorts of one-off events.
